the joy of sarcasm.

Sometimes you just feel the need to answer stupid questions with all the sarcasm you can muster up....

Unfortunately, I feel the need constantly.

I'm not sure if it's just me, or if stupid questions are actually
that annoying. For instance, my friend Israel and I were walking out to the middle of the field this past weekend. Envision this....

Israel held a stakes, a volleyball net and a silver pole. I held a volleyball under one arm, a hammer, and a silver pole.

One person, who shall remain nameless, was sitting on a blanket in the field and chimed in with a sing-songy voice saying, "Are you guys putting up a volleyball net?"

*sigh*

I quickly responded with little or no emotion. "No. We're building a robot."

I know, I know. I can hear that little (and I do mean
little...) voice inside my head saying, "Now Amber, that wasn't very nice."

Well, stupid questions frustrate me. The problem lies in the fact that when questions like this are raised, my mind thinks of the most brilliant and sarcastic things to say....and then says it without consulting the "kindness police."

I know that some people are unaware of the proper procedures to start up a conversation. I understand this. But can't they come up with something better? Maybe I should write a book.

"What To Say When You Don't Know What To Say" Brilliant.

First off, every red-blooded American should know that the weather is always a sure thing.
Just enter in any generic weather statement.

What a nice day. Man, it's hot! Brrr....it's cold. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Don't ask a question. Make a statement. If you ask IF the sun is shining.....I'll hit you.
